Sean Hughes brings many years of international design experience to Philips Healthcare. He has led design activities in all of the Philips sectors as well as for their external client base.

Hughes’ role will be to work on strengthening the role of design within Philips.

Philips now has a Chief Design Officer for each of its sectors: Consumer Lifestyle, Lighting and Healthcare. This demonstrates that design is considered a key function at Philips, that it adds value to their business, creation processes and innovation activities through their people focused approach.

You can find out much more from Hughes in our feature story on design for healthcare in Curve Issue 34.
